Three officials of the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) were removed from service on charges of corruption and fraud

Three officials of the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) were removed from service on charges of corruption and fraud. A contractor, meanwhile, was blacklisted. According to officials, Wasa senior accountant Muhammad Ejaz, assistant accountant Tariq Ejaz and sub engineer Muhammad Nadeem were found guilty of converting a figure of Rs99,000 into Rs.999,000 and for bribing contractor Nazeer Shehzad with regards to a sewer project laid down in Chak Dhandra. Wasa managing director Zahid Aziz ordered the removal of all three WASA officers and has blacklisted them.
