BLACKBURN:
Indian poultry giants Venky’s have denied reports they are planning to sell struggling English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers. Qatar Petroleum, a Middle East oil company, have been linked with a takeover at Ewood Park. “We have no interest in selling Blackburn Rovers whatsoever,” said Venky’s co-owner Venkatesh Rao. This Saturday marks the first anniversary of Venky’s takeover with Rovers second from bottom in the table after taking just six points – with only one win – from their first 11 games this season.
