‘Honour’ killing: Youth killed, girl injured by her father

MULTAN: A youth was killed and a young girl was severely injured over ‘honour’ on Saturday morning. According to police officials, Basti Malook Area Lad Chowk-2 resident Sajid had allegedly developed illicit relations with his sister-in-law Samina. On Friday night, Samina’s father Riaz caught the pair in a compromising position and stabbed Sajid to death. Riaz then slit Samina’s throat. Samina was taken to hospital in critical condition and doctors have said she is unlikely to survive. The accused fled from the scene. Police officials have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
