Imran Khan warns of countrywide protests if elections rigged

PTI will file an application in the SC for voters’ registration to be done on the basis of NADRA identity cards.

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday warned of countrywide protests if the next general elections were rigged.

Addressing a press conference after a party meeting in Islamabad, Khan stressed the importance of an independent election commission and announced that his party will also file an application in the Supreme Court for the voters’ registration to be done on the basis of the NADRA identity cards.

He also said that PTI will file a petition in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to investigate the rental power contract given to Karkey Karadeniz earlier this year.
