Event: Children’s literary festival from 25th

The festival will be a joint collaboration of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) and the Oxford University Press (OUP).

LAHORE: A two-day children’s literature festival will be held at the Children’s Library Complex (CLC) on November 25 and 26. The festival will be a joint collaboration of Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) and the Oxford University Press (OUP). Baela Raza and Ameen Saiyid, founders of the CLC, said that the festival would be sponsored by the Foundation of Open Society Institute and CLxC. They said that the aim of the festival was to promote reading, creativity and critical thinking among children and generate an interest in books and literature. The two-day event will feature talks, panel discussion, a book fair, poetry reading, writing competition, puppet shows, theatre performances, and discussions on local languages.
