Law and Order: 19 shopkeepers held for encroachment
As many as 19 shopkeepers were held and sent to a judicial lockup for creating encroachment on footpaths.

As many as 19 shopkeepers were held and sent to a judicial lockup for creating encroachment on footpaths. The shopkeepers at Jalil Kababi Road and Ashraf Road had established encroachment on footpaths, causing blockade of roads. Taking prompt action against the encroachers, the district coordination officer constituted a team which raided the shops and held the shopkeepers. Likewise, the tehsil municipal officer also conducted a raid at several places, during which four nanbais, a butcher, a vegetable seller and three bakery shop owners were fined Rs3,600 for overcharging and not maintaining cleanliness.
