Mohsin to continue as coach for Bangladesh tour
PCB yet to make a final decision on the matter.
KARACHI:
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has delayed the appointment of a new head coach, while announcing that Mohsin Khan will continue as the interim coach for the tour to Bangladesh.
Mohsin, the chief selector, was appointed coach for the full-fledged series against Sri Lanka as the PCB decided on a new candidate after Waqar Younis resigned.
However, the board, which has short-listed five candidates – three foreigners and two locals – for the head coach position, is yet to make a final choice and has decided to continue with Mohsin for the tour of Bangladesh.
“Since the board is yet to finalise the appointment of a new head coach, Mohsin Khan will continue as interim coach for the Bangladesh tour,” a PCB statement said.
Pakistan are due to tour Bangladesh from November 26 to play two Tests, three One-Day Internationals and a Twenty20.
