Sheesha Ban: Punjab govt’s reply sought
Petition has been filed by Khurram Hashmi who is part of a Coalition for Tobacco Control with the SAMAR.

Justice Umar Ata Bandial of Lahore High Court on Thursday sought a report from the Punjab government on a petition requesting a ban on Sheesha smoking. The judge directed the provincial government to file the reply by January 19, 2012. The petition has been filed by Khurram Hashmi who is part of a Coalition for Tobacco Control with the Society of Alternative Media and Research (SAMAR). The chief secretary, health secretary, home secretary, law secretary, 0IG Police, and CCPO Lahore, have been made respondents in the petition.
