Cricket: Marsh, Bichel named selectors
Rod Marsh and Andy Bichel have been appointed part-time selectors by Cricket Australia
SYDNEY:
Rod Marsh and Andy Bichel have been appointed part-time selectors by Cricket Australia (CA). Former wicket-keeper Marsh, 64, has played 96 Tests for Australia, while 41-year old former fast-bowler Bichel retired from first-class cricket in November 2007. CA General Manager Pat Howard said in a statement that Marsh was a ‘legend of the game’ and that he and Bichel would bring complementary skills to the selection table. Marsh said he was looking forward to his new role. “I’m excited to be back working for CA,” said Marsh. “It’s been a decade since I last worked for CA .This is an important role and I’m looking forward to watching young Australian cricketers develop, and to our established cricketers continuing to improve.”
