Honour crime: Two women,‘their paramour’ killed
Police suspected that her brother, Muhammad Tayyab, killed her and fled.
FAISALABAD/HAROONABAD:
Two women and men, believed to be their paramours, were killed in two incidents in Faisalabad and Haroonabad on Thursday.
Ayesha and her neighbour Shabbir Ahmad were found shot and killed in her house in Samanabad area. Police suspected that her brother, Muhammad Tayyab, killed her and fled.
They quoted eyewitnesses as saying that Tayyab had come to visit her sister in Rasheed Nagar where she lived with her husband Umair. They said Tayyab fled the house in a hurry an hour after he had arrived, police said.
Police have registered a case under Section 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code sent both bodies to Allied Hospital for a post mortem examination.
In another incident, 45-year-old Naseem Akhtar and 22-year-old Shafiq Arshad were killed allegedly by Naseem’s husband, Abdul Majeed, in Chak No75 4R. He had suspected the two of having an illicit relationship.
