Emergency services: Rescue 1122 keeps its eye on city

Leaves of Rescue staff cancelled, assigned duties at Eid congregations.

LAHORE:
The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) will remain on high alert in the provincial metropolis to deal with any situation during Eidul Azha.

Emergency vehicles will be deputed at all major Eid congregations along with trained staff to provide immediate pre-hospital emergency cover, if needed.

Emergency officers including trained doctors will supervise arrangements during Eid days, a Rescue spokesman said.

The leaves of rescuers have been cancelled in the city and they have been assigned special duties to provide emergency medical, rescue and fire fighting services.


Rescue 1122 staff will also perform special duties in district control room and emergency rescue stations.

Special mobile posts will also be established for effectively providing medical cover to public gatherings.

Rescue posts will be established at Fortress Stadium, Moon Market, Gulshan-i-Ravi, main gate of Aitchison College, Walton Academy Ground, Shalimar Chowk, Bilal Park Masjid, Badshahi Masjid, Chauburji, Jahangir’s Tomb, Mian Meer shrine, Masjid-i-Shuhda, Lala Zar Park, Out Fall Road, Noorul Islam Masjid, Jamia Ashrafia, Mansoora, Model Town Mor, Minhajul Quran, Punjab Assembly, Moon Market Allama Iqbal Town, Data Darbar, Gaddafi Stadium, Niaz Baig, Shahdra, Wapda House, Jamia Naeemia, Jati Umera, Punjab Assembly, the Ferozepur Road central station and Liberty Market.
