Seminar: Free, easy access to justice through ombudsman

Prof. Dr Nusrat Idrees sayd federal ombudsman are independent institutions to provide speedy justice to the masses.

Speakers of the seminar titled “Free and easy access to justice through ombudsman” urged the people to get speedy justice through federal ombudsman.


If they have any complaint against any federal minister, department or organisation then they should reach out to the ombudsman, they said.

The seminar was organised by Lawyers for Human Rights and Legal Aid, Ombudsman Secretariat and Karachi University on Saturday. Prof. Dr Nusrat Idrees said that the federal ombudsman is an independent institution and is there to provide speedy justice to the masses.

The vision of Federal Ombudsman Secretariat is to promote high standards of governance, accountability and efficiency through administrative justice and its mission is to redress public grievances in a fair, prompt and transparent manners, said its spokesman. Arfa Zainab of Madadgar Helpline, Zia Awan and the pro-vice chancellor of Karachi University, Dr Nasir Khan, also highlighted the importance of the institution.
