ISLAMABAD:

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif gave away 92 vehicles to different individuals as part of the Apna Rozgar scheme on Saturday at the Rawalpindi Arts Council.

The ‘Go Zardari Go’ slogan must be implemented in order to save the country, he said while speaking at the ceremony where he gave out 92 vehicles, 28 Suzuki Mehran cars and 64 Suzuki Bolan vans.

He spoke about the importance of weaning the country off foreign aid as the first step in breaking the “shackles of foreign domination and meddling in Pakistan’s internal affairs.”

Calling attention to the dengue outbreak in Lahore, Sharif claimed his administration’s efforts had been satisfactory but more work needed to be done to make preparations for the future. He added that the Punjab government forced private hospitals and laboratories to not overcharge dengue suspects.

Sharif added that the Apna Rozgar Scheme would help the common people in earning respectable livelihood and more vehicles would be given through further draws.
