Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced that it has won the international Samena Award 2011 in the category of “Best telecom operator in South Asia”. PTCL CEO and President Walid Irshaid received the award at the annual Samena ‘Convergence to Doha’ summit held on November 1-2, says a press release. PTCL has been the “quickest to offer new products and services and is a provider of Triple-Play, Quad-Play, 3G and advanced value-added service,” read Samena’s official citation for the award. “The award is another historic milestone for PTCL in its continuing journey of technological progress and business achievement,” said Irshaid.
