Nuclear Power: Pakistan urges IAEA’s impartial role
Pakistan’s acting permanent representative to the UN states IAEA should become more than “a nuclear watchdog”.

Pakistan’s acting permanent representative to the UN Raza Bashir Tarar stated that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) should become more than “a nuclear watchdog” on Wednesday. Speaking in the General Assembly’s debate on the annual report of the agency, he also said: “In discharging its functions, it would be important for the agency to be seen as an impartial, efficient and professional body”.
