Robbed: Expats looted in Koral

An expats family was deprived of cash and valuables worth millions at gunpoint

ISLAMABAD:
An expats family was deprived of cash and valuables worth millions at gunpoint in the limits of the Koral police on Tuesday, police said.  According to details, a group of impersonators wearing police uniforms intercepted the family at Islamabad Highway as they were heading home from Benazir International Airport. They were in a private car with a blue revolving light. The fake police officials, carrying wireless sets and weapons, got off their car and began searching the victims’ car on the pretext of security. The impersonators took away local and foreign currency totaling over Rs1.2 million, along with valuables worth thousands of rupees. Later, they fled from the scene.
