Bringing Change: University students suggest solutions

Students of the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) organised a new competition.

KARACHI: The students of the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) organised a new competition called ‘University Social Responsibility’. The participants gave presentations on the way in which university students could alleviate societal problems. The director of communications at Siemens Pakistan, Zia-ul Islam Zuberi was one of the members on the judging panel. A team of SZABIST’s Rotract society won the first prize of Rs50,000. The winning team’s suggestions will now be implemented by the competition’s organising committee.
