CM’s Word: Singer awaits pledged support
Folk singer has filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court for provision of a financial grant of Rs50,000.

Folk singer, Ijaz Lohar, has filed a writ petition in the Lahore High Court for provision of a financial grant of Rs50,000. The petitioner submitted that seven months ago the chief minister had announced that he would give him Rs50,000 for medical treatment. He said the Lahore DCO when approached for the release of the grant had said the pay-order had been dispatched to his home address by mail. The petitioner said seven months had passed but he had received no pay-order. He prayed to the court to direct the chief minister to ensure payment of the grant without further delay.
