BAHAWALPUR: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has set up a protest camp in Chowk Fawara in favour of President Asif Ali Zardari. Speaking to the press, Bahawalpur PPP president Shakir Mirza said that President Asif Ali Zardari was a symbol of compassion, friendship and federation and the Sharif brother’s attacks on his character were demoralising for the Pakistani public. “The dengue brothers should keep focusing on eradicating the dengue fever and corruption from the province and stop criticising Asif Ali Zardari,” he said.  Mirza said that the protest camp had been set up to protect the president’s reputation. “We will defend him and protect him with our last breath,” he said.
