Sanitation: Awareness week launched in govt schools
An awareness campaign regarding cleanliness in government schools of the city.

The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), on Tuesday, launched an awareness campaign regarding cleanliness in government schools of the city. An awareness lecture was organised in Government Girls High School, Tajpura, on Tuesday.
The LWMC also organised a painting competition among nursery students around the theme of sanitation and cleanliness and distributed prizes to the winners.
The LWMC team members gave a presentation about cleanliness to the students in which they warned the students about hazards of waste laden environment. The purpose of the campaign is to improve cleanliness in government schools which lack for funds and have poor sanitation.
The LWMC also gifted a dust bin to the school so that the students can dump garbage in it. The LWMC will organise removal of the waste. The waste managementcompany will conduct awareness walks, lectures, visits, competitions in government schools on a monthly basis as part of the campaign.
