Boxing: Bradley issues conditional challenge

Negotiations for a fight between world champions Timothy Bradley and Amir Khan in 2012 may finally begin.

LONDON:
Negotiations for a fight between light-welterweight world champions Timothy Bradley and Amir Khan in 2012 may finally begin after WBO belt-holder Bradley admitted he would be willing to fight IBF and WBA champion Khan. Bradley has offered Khan a 50/50 split match-up if the two come through their respective bouts later this year. The former defends his title against Joel Casamayor later this month while Khan is set to face Lamont Peterson in December. “If Khan beats his next opponent and I beat mine, then I’m willing to fight him for 50/50. Let’s do this,” said Bradley.
