Saeed says that sectarianism and political parties support differences within the Muslim Ummah.
MULTAN:
Head of the Islamic Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) group blamed sectarianism and political parties for the lack of unity among the Muslim Ummah.
JuD's amir, Hafiz Saeed was speaking to a gathering in Kamonki, after monitoring funds collection for flood victims.
Saeed said that sectarianism and political parties support differences within the Muslim Ummah. He emphasized that we have to eradicate sectarianism from our society
Saeed also condemned the government’s decision to grant India the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status, adding that it will destroy Pakistan’s economy.
The JuD president also opposed Army actions in the tribal areas and said that the people living in the tribal belt have always defended the country and supported the armed forces.
He pointed out that Pakistan has totally forgotten the water crisis caused by India as it has been stealing our water. Saeed said that India is building dams on our rivers, violating the Indus Basin Water Treaty but the United Nations and US are silent.
He also condemned government’s stance on water crisis and policies of military action in the tribal areas.
