Noble Profession: 4,693 students sit Dow entrance test
The result will be announced on Tuesday.

The admission test for Dow University for Health Sciences for MBBS and BDS degree programmes was held on Sunday. Around 4,693 candidates sat the test out of the 5,000 who applied for it. The result will be announced on Tuesday. Out of the total students who appeared, 177 were Hufaz-e-Quran. They were awarded 10 marks each for passing the oral Hafiz-e-Quran test. There are around 800 seats reserved for Dow Medical College, Sindh Medical College for MBBS and the Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health for the BDS. About 450 seats are reserved for merit, 101 for self finance for students only from Karachi, 16 for foreign students, 46 for overseas Pakistanis, 45 for students from rural Sindh, two for Balochistan, two for people with special needs and 32 are reserved for the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme for SAARC nationals.
