Remarks against president: Firdous seeks Shahbaz apology
Using un-parliamentarily language against a president was “unfortunate” and “unconstitutional”: Firdous.
ISLAMABAD:
Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday urged the Punjab government to focus on good governance, lambasting the chief minister for using inappropriate language against the president.
Talking to PTV, she said that staging rallies was part of democracy but using un-parliamentarily language against a democratically elected president was “unfortunate” and “unconstitutional”.
She said that Shahbaz Sharif misused the government machinery and public funds for staging, what she called, a “comedy show” in Lahore, adding that the chief minister should apologise to the nation for negating the constitution and law.
