Cop Killer: Constables’ argument turns ugly
A police constable shot his colleague in court premises in Rahim Yar Khan.
BAHAWALPUR:
A police constable shot his colleague in court premises in Rahim Yar Khan on Friday morning. According to police officials, Constable Rehmatullah shot and killed his colleague Constable Tanveer Warraich, after the latter allegedly abused him in public. Eyewitnesses told police officials that Rehmatullah and Warraich were arguing when the former shot him with his Kalashnikov. Hospital officials said that Warraich sustained 20 bullet wounds and died on the spot. Constable Akram and a child, Ubaid Ali, were also injured and have been shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Police officials have arrested Rehmatullah and registered a case against him.
