Demonstration: Doctors’ protest continues in Quetta
Protest against the killing of Dr Mazar Khan Baloch.
QUETTA:
The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and the Baloch Doctors Forum (BDF) on Thursday staged a demonstration outside the Quetta Press Club to protest against the killing of Dr Mazar Khan Baloch. Assistant Prof at Bolan Medical Complex Teaching Hospital Dr Mazar Baloch was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Quetta, a week ago. The protestors chanted slogans against the government and law enforcing agencies for “their failure to protect human lives”. Addressing the protestors, BDF General Secretary Dr Asif Baloch and PMA General Secretary Sultan Tareen said that the prevailing sense of insecurity is compelling the doctors to not perform their duties. The protesting doctors warned that they would continue their protest until security is provided to them.
