LAHORE:
Tehreek-i-Istehkam-i-Pakistan (TIP) took out a rally demanding the removal of corrupt politicians, a solution to load shedding, compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court and the eradication of corruption. TIP chairman Syed Ali Raza said they had come out on the streets to save Pakistan from the hands of ‘burglars’ who had brought the country to the brink of devastation. He said Pakistan needed true leadership instead of elite classes who travelled in motorcades of hundreds of cars. He said the present regime and the leaders of the opposition parties were not capable of steering the country out of the current imbroglio. However, he vowed to stage a sit-in for five days at Liaquat Bagh at Rawalpindi till their demands were met. The participants carried the national flag and chanted slogans in favour of Raza.
