Shabbir retains lead in CNS Golf
KARACHI:
Pre-tournament favourite, Shabbir Iqbal continued his domination at the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Open Golf Championship after finishing the second round with a clear five-point lead at the Karachi Golf Club (KGC).
Shabbir fired five birdies to finish with an aggregate of 138 points. He displayed commendable control of strokes at the tough KGC course to come out with a 69-point card on the second day of the championship.
He is followed by Shahid Javed, who finished with a total of 143 points, scoring 72 points in the stage. Muhammad Tariq and Waheed Baloch occupied joint-third position with 144. Both finished with 72 points with Tariq scoring four birdies.
