Menace Of Terrorism: Clinton clarified US policy says diplomat

US Consul General in Karachi said that the Hillary Clinton had clarified the US policy vis-à-vis terrorism.

HYDERABAD:
US Consul General in Karachi William J Martin said on Wednesday that the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had clarified the US policy vis-à-vis terrorism during her recent trip to Pakistan. “She had reiterated that the war against terror was in the interest of both the US and Pakistan,” he said while talking to the media at a reception hosted in his honour by former MNA Qazi Asad Abid. Martin said that despite ups and downs in the Pak-US relations the two countries understand the importance of defeating terrorism. “We see with respect the cooperation extended by Pakistan in this regard,” he added. About the US response to the flood victims, he said, “We will continue our assistance in the domains of agriculture, education and health even in the post-relief phase.”
