Snooker: Sohail, Sajjad crash out of ranking event

In a day of mixed fortunes for seeded cueists, second-seed Sohail Shahzad and third-seed Mohammad Sajjad crashed out of the third Jubilee General Insurance Ranking Snooker Championship following defeats in the prequarter-finals at the Karachi Gymkhana. Top-seed Imran Shahzad, however, paved his way into the quarter-finals with an emphatic 5-1 win over Mohammad Asif. Among the casualties, Sajjad was beaten by Shahid Aftab 5-2 while Sohail was sent packing by Asif Toba after a marathon 5-4 victory. Meanwhile, Khurram Agha and Asjad Iqbal continued their winning run while Sultan Mohammad, Abdul Sattar and Sharjeel Mehmood also progressed to the last-eight.
