Snooker: Yousuf, Perwani crash out of championship
Asif records snooker event’s highest break so far.

Former amateur world champion Mohammad Yousuf and Naveen Perwani crashed out of the third Jubilee General Insurance Ranking Snooker Championship while top-seed Imran Shahzad, second-seed Sohail Shahzad and former Asia number two Mohammad Sajjad advanced to the prequarter-finals.
Yousuf beat Sultan Mohammad 4-1 but his earlier losses in the tournament put him out of contention. Meanwhile Perwani went down to Shahid Aftab 4-2.
Lahore-based Imran overcame Imran Qamar 4-2 while Sohail entered the next round after beating Rashid Mehmood by the same score-line. Sajjad handed a straight-frame defeat to Sharjeel Mehmood to cruise into the knockout stages.
Mohammad Asif had a day to remember as he recorded the tournament’s highest break so far. Asif beat Mohammad Imran 4-1 and hit a break of 138 in the second frame.
