Lady Health Workers demand salaries, regularisations of jobs
LHWs boycott polio campaign to protest non-payment of salaries.

As the Sindh health minister inuagurated a three-day polio campaign, a large number of lady health workers (LHW) have boycotted the campaign in protest over outstanding payment of their salaries and regularisation of their jobs in Sanghar.
LHWs of different cities including Sanghar, Tando Adam, Jhool protested outside press club carrying banners and placards.
The workers lamented that they had yet to be paid their basic salary for many months. And that the government had not regularised their job despite numerous claims and promises.
Addressing the media, Dr Sagheer Ahmed said the issue of lady health workers should be resolved. He added that the workers had a right to protest if salaries their were not given.
