Punjab Higher Education Secretary Dr Ejaz Munir chaired the meeting of the provincial boards whose results were cancelled earlier, following the massive protests by students across the province against the online examination system which they claimed resulted in providing them incorrect results.
The Multan Board hired school and college teachers to ensure the timely completion of the recompilation process.
The teachers are also checking the papers nonstop in three shifts to meet the deadline.
Meanwhile, police has been deployed outside board office buildings in the province due to the ongoing student protests.
The Punjab government had taken notice of the protest by students and cancelled the Intermediate Part I results promising to re-announce them within 45 days.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif also fired the information technology consultant for Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) over the large number of errors in the intermediate results compiled and announced through the online system.
Protests in Rawalpindi, Sargodha
Meanwhile, students who came out to protest against the results in Rawalpindi and Sargodha have called off their protest after board officials accepted their demands.
The students had been protesting against the errors in their Intermediate results and demanded that their papers be re-checked.
The chairman of Sargodha Board also assured the protesting students that their papers will be re-checked, and a revised result issued.
