FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has developed a new technology which will help eliminate insects – bollworm and armyworm – from cotton crops and boost its production many times. The new technique has been developed by scientist Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, the dean of faculty of agriculture, after hectic efforts. Ashfaq told The Express Tribune this technology had so many benefits as it reduced the need for pesticides and cut input cost for cotton production.
