ICAP awards passing accountants
Speakers urge students to stick to ethics.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) awarded certificates to students who had passed their final examination held in summer 2011 as well as medals and Merit Certificates to outstanding performers.
Ebrahim Sidat FCA, Chief Executive Officer – Ernst & Young Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder, Hanif Jhakura FCA, Chief Executive Officer, Central Depository Company Limited and Teizoon Kissat FCA, Managing Director, ORIX Leasing Company Limited were present and addressed the passing out students.
Ebrahim Sidat felicitated the newly qualified CAs and stressed upon them to strive for excellence to achieve their ambitions in the corporate world. He underscored the need for continued advancement of professional skills. Hanif Jhakura underlined the importance of interpersonal skills, persistence, vigour and perseverance as the benchmark for success. He emphasised that today’s competitive world poses new challenges upon accountants.
Teizoon Kissat advised young CAs to continue to enjoy the trust of the society through highest level of professional ethics, independence and integrity which should be maintained above everything else. In his concluding speech, Adnan Mufti FCA, Chairman - Southern Regional Committee ICAP, advised the newly qualified CAs to have a deeper and closer interaction with ICAP and play their due role in enhancing and strengthening image of their mother institution.
