Cricket: Rain washes out third day

Overnight rain washed out the third day’s play of the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies.

CHITTAGONG:
Overnight rain washed out the third day’s play of the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies, the second successive day that poor weather has brought proceedings to a standstill. Although the rain had relented in the morning, the umpires ruled that there were too many wet patches in the field coupled with poor light and therefore abandoned play about 90 minutes after the scheduled start. The first day saw Bangladesh reach 255 runs for the loss of four wickets.
