Domestic abuse: Man breaks wife’s arm for leaving him
Aliya left him and settled with her parents in Pasrur.
PASRUR:
A man tortured his wife after she refused to return home with him on Saturday evening. According to police officials, Aadokay village resident Ghulam Abbas married Pasrur resident Aliya a few years ago. The couple quarrelled frequently and neighbours told the police that Abbas frequently beat his wife. The couple had a one-year-old daughter and when Abbas allegedly beat her several times, Aliya left him and settled with her parents in Pasrur. Muhammad Khan, Aliya’s father told police that his son-in-law broke into his house on Saturday and beat his daughter with a club. Aliya was taken to the hospital after she lost consciousness and hospital officials said her condition was serious. “She has a fractured arm and head injuries,” DHQ Hospital Dr Maqbool said. Pasrur police has registered a case against Abbas and is searching for his whereabouts.
