KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah changed the provincial portfolios of ministers belonging to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F), reported Express 24/7 Sunday.

According to the notification of the new portfolios, Abdul Haseeb Khan of MQM has been given the Ministry of Religious Affairs while Raza Haroon of MQM has been given the Ministry of Information Technology.

The portfolio of the Ministry of Special Education has been allocated to Imtiaz Sheikh of PML-F while Jam Madad Ali, who was previously the Minister of Youth Affairs, has been given the Ministry of Science and Technology. PPP’s Syed Ali Nawaz Shah will head the Ministry of Transportation.

The MQM held a total of 13 ministries in the Sindh cabinet before quitting the coalition in June this year. Even though the party had left the government, the resignations of their ministers were not accepted; however six of their ministries were given to the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
