Inheritance: Civil judge adjourns Taseer estate plea
The court had sought a reply from Amna Taseers and her children to the petition.
LAHORE:
Civil Judge Waseem Ahmed has adjourned till October 25 the hearing of a petition filed by Shan, Sanam and Sara Taseer seeking the division of the late Salmaan Taseer’s assets allegedly kept by his widow Amna Taseer and her kids. The court had sought a reply from Amna Taseers and her children to the petition. The counsel for the respondents told the judge that Amna had filed a petition with the district and sessions judge for all cases related to Taseer’s estate to be consolidated. The petitioners have asked the civil court to take account of Taseer’s assets, to administer them by decree, to restrain the respondents from concealing assets, and to divide them. They also asked to be allowed to deal with scheduled properties or other parts of the Taseer estate in the same manner as the other legal heirs until the case is decided.
