ISLAMABAD:

Amid political speculation triggered by his earlier remarks regarding PTI founder Imran Khan's alleged refusal to accept a "deal", Prime Minister's Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Friday clarified that his comments had been made in a specific context related to the November 24 protest.

Speaking during a private television programme, Sanaullah said his statement pertained solely to the PTI founder's position during the protest episode and did not refer to any secret reconciliation or political arrangement.

He said at the time, Imran Khan had not been willing to step back from his stance on the protest.
