Boxing: Aloyan confident of Olympic future

“I promise to do my very best in the ring at the London Olympics,” said Aloyan.

MOSCOW:
Russian boxer Misha Aloyan, gold-medallist in the 52kg category at this month’s amateur world championship in Baku, said he is confident of success at next year’s Olympics. “I promise to do my very best in the ring at the London Olympics,” said Aloyan. “If I manage to do that, the win will be mine.” Aloyan also picked out American former flyweight world champion Rau’shee Warren as a potential threat, but insisted that he has the bearing of the 24-year-old. “I managed to beat him in the semi-finals in Baku. Now I know how to overcome him and I’m ready to repeat the result at the Olympics.”
