KARACHI:

While they amaze us with their antics on-screen and off-screen, fans can’t help but worry when their favourite celebrity lands in trouble time and again. Of late, young Hollywood celebrities, who rose to fame with Disney productions, like Lindsay Lohan and Shia LaBeouf have been treading in murky waters by creating negative publicity with their appalling antics.

Troubled actor Lohan has violated terms of her probation once again by failing to attend community service at the Los Angeles Downtown Women’s Centre, after she stole a $2,500 necklace from a jewellery shop in May, reported the LA Times.

The 25-year-old is now in big trouble with Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner.  The judge had ordered that Lohan be handcuffed and jailed after she had failed to complete the 480 hours of community service as ordered for her jewellery theft conviction. The Mean Girls star appeared handcuffed in court on October 19, but was released after paying $100,000 bail. AFP reported that, Lohan missed nine appointments at the Women’s Centre, and when she did attend; she only stayed for one hour, rather than the required minimum of four.

“There has been violation after violation,” Sautner said. “Probation is a gift. It’s not a right.” As part of her shoplifting sentence, Lohan must now spend 120 hours at a LA County Morgue, serving two eight-hour shifts a week pending a November 2 hearing, when the judge will decide whether to revoke Lohan’s probation.

The coroner’s office has revealed to LA Times that Lohan will be treated just like everybody else when she’s inside the morgue. “She is not getting any special treatment,” Assistant Chief Ed Winter said. “She’s going to be cleaning toilets, mopping floors and emptying the trash bins.” The star, however, continues to amaze people; she jeopardised her probation by turning up late at the morgue on October 20 morning and was refused entry. Lohan stated that she got lost and apologised for being late on Twitter, “I’m sorry for the confusion that I may have caused to those at the coroner’s office. Won’t happen again; now I know where to go,” she tweeted.

Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf has also had his share of negative criticism in the media. British newspaper Daily Mail reported that in August, LaBeouf created an uproar when he spat water on rocker Marilyn Manson at an awards ceremony. He is now showing off his violent streak after getting drunk and being involved in a brawl outside a bar in Vancouver last week.

According to TMZ, LaBeouf had been drinking at the Cinema Public House pub and was bumping into several people during the night, and one man told him to “watch out”. The 25-year-old actor replied by saying, “Oh yeah? Or what are you going to do about it?” That’s when the two men took the matter outside and LaBeouf got beaten down to the pavement.

A viewer, Shea Carter helped LaBeouf and tried to restrain him from going back inside the pub but the hot-tempered star got more agitated, and said, “Well what if I grabbed my knife on you?” Carter revealed to TMZ that he was intimidated by the star and was verbally attacked by him.

Carter then quickly held on to LaBeouf in case he was serious about the knife threat and tried to restrain him, reported the Daily Mail. However, it has been reported that although LaBeouf made the threats, Carter never actually saw a blade on him. The actor finally decided to walk away but when Carter went back into the bar a few minutes later, he looked out of the window and saw LaBeouf making a throat-slashing gesture at him from outside.
