Search Operation: K-P police recover suicide vest, arms
Police in Dera Ismail Khan claim to have recovered a suicide vest that contained 15kgs of explosives.

Police in Dera Ismail Khan claimed to have recovered a suicide vest during a search operation on Monday, while officials in Peshawar claimed to have foiled a bid to smuggle arms into Punjab. DSP Abdul Ghafoor told reporters that after receiving a tip-off, the police searched an area in the vicinity of Mecan Bund and recovered a suicide vest. However, no arrest was made. At least 15 kgs of explosives were packed into the vest, which was later defused. Meanwhile, the Peshawar police claimed to have foiled a bid to smuggle of arms into Punjab. Two people have been arrested in this connection.
