Tennis: Murray aims for Grand Slam success
Said his ultimate aim was to go further than toppling Roger Federer from the world number three position.
SHANGHAI:
Briton Andy Murray has said his ultimate aim was to go further than toppling Roger Federer from the world number three position, or finishing the year ranked third, which was still not guaranteed. “There are not many people in the last five to seven years who have been able to finish a year ahead of Federer,” he said. “So it’ll be nice if I can do it. But it’s been a tough year in respect of Grand Slams. If I keep improv:ing bit by bit, I’ll give myself opportunities at the majors.”
