PARIS:
Martine Aubry conceded defeat in the French Socialist Party’s presidential primary on Sunday and called for unity behind Francois Hollande, whose mission will be to unseat Nicolas Sarkozy in an election next April. “I will invest all my strength and energy to ensure that he (Hollande) is the president of France seven months from now,” Aubry said as partial results in the Socialist primary contest showed Hollande taking more than 56 percent of votes.
