Farewell: Mansha Yaad laid to rest

Noted short story writer and novelist, Muhammed Mansha Yaad, was laid to rest at the H-8 Graveyard on Sunday.
A large number of people from all walks of life, including writers, poets, intellectuals, colleagues and friends participated in his funeral to pay their last homage to the great story teller. He died of cardiac arrest on Saturday night at the Islamic International Hospital.
Prof Fateh Malik, Rector IIUI, M Ziauddin, Executive Editor of The Express Tribune, Ashfaq Salim Mirza, Prof Aftab Iqbal Shamim, Masood Mufti and others attended the funeral.
President Zardari and PM Gilani expressed grief and sorrow over Yaad’s death.
Representatives from literary and govt organisations placed floral wreath on his grave.
