Pakistan number two Farhan Mehboob thrashed Malaysian Elvinn Keo in the first qualifying round to ease into the qualifying finals of the Qatar Classic, the sixth Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Series event of the year held in the Doha.
Mehboob, ranked 47 in the world circuit, dispatched Keo with a convincing 11-2, 11-2, 11-4 triumph in only 26 minutes. In the qualifying finals, Farhan will face world number 35 Egyptian Mohammad Abbas, who defeated India’s Harinder Pal Sandhu by a 12-10, 12-10, 8-11, 11-9 score-line.
