Oil Tankers: NATO convoy attacked near Quetta

QUETTA:
A convoy of Nato oil tankers and containers was attacked by assailants in Mianghundi, in the suburbs of Quetta, on Friday, the police said.
The attack left three drivers injured.
According to local police official Khuda-e-Dosth, the oil tankers and containers were en route from Karachi to Afghanistan when armed assailants opened fire on them.
The attackers managed to flee before security personnel reached the site.
The injured were taken to the Bolan Medical Complex, where they were identified as Nasar Hiyat, Atiqur-Rehman and Umer Daraz.
“An oil tanker was partially damaged in the attack. The police was escorting the convoy when it came under attack,” the official added. Investigations are under way.
