A complete shutter-down strike continued to be observed in Turbat city for the fifth consecutive day on Friday.
The strike call was given by the Baloch National Movement (BNM) and the Baloch Students Organisation (BSO-Azad) to protest against the recovery of the bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch political opponents.
As many as six bodies, including that of BNM leader Sameer Kareem, were found in Pasni and Khuzdar districts this week.
The police found another body from Khuzdar and have shifted it to Quetta for identification. All shops, markets, commercial establishments and restaurants remained closed during the strike.
According to the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, an organisation striving for the recovery of missing persons, over 200 bodies have been discovered in the past 15 months.
