Return policy: Father and son killed over Rs 2,000

Two pirs shot Ghulam and his son when they asked for their money back.

Two pirs allegedly killed a young man and his son over a dispute regarding Rs2,000 on Thursday.


According to police officials, two pirs Javed Shah and Sabir Shah had a monetary dispute with a cycle mechanic Ghulam Dastagir and his son. According to locals in the area, Javed and Sabir promised to pay the disputed money of Rs2,000/- on Wednesday and the deceased  reached their residence in Saifabad to receive the amount.When Ghulam Dastagir and his 20-year-old son Babar Dastagir reached the house to ask for the money, the two pirs beat them up with sticks and tied them in a room.

“They had been badgering us to return the money.

They don’t know how much influence we have in this community.


If we wanted to pay them back we would have when the time came and if we didn’t they should have considered the money had gone to a noble cause.

We are both spiritual men,” Javed Shah said.

The two pirs opened fir on Ghulam and his son Babar and when locals rushed to the spot, they said that the men had broken into their house. “I knew about the transaction so I was aware that they had come to collect the money,” said neighbour Iftikhar.

Police officials questioned locals and discovered that the accused had killed the men

On the complaint of Nasir Ali son, police registered a case vide FIR No.1154/2011 under Sections 302/34 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against the accused.
